The Millers of Dallas, Tx
We are descendants of John & Lucina (Lucy)
Miller, who, along with two other slave families,
Arch & Charlotte, & Clayton & Betty, which came in
1847 by their slave master, William Brown Miller
from Missouri. Our family help organize the first
Black Baptist church and the first Lisbon Colored
School.

Henry Miller, 1867 - 1945
Henry is the son of John and Lucina
Miller, both born into slavery. Henry
was married to Nannie Watson. They
had ## of children. Henry attend the
First Freedman School in Dallas. He
was a farmer and sold his fruits and
vegetables as a business.
